Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda give warning to parents

Food and homeware products have been recalled from Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) and Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI) issue recalls for a variety of reasons, including when a food product contains allergens that are not disclosed on the item is defective.

When a product is recalled, for any reason, the FSA and CTSI share details on what you should do if you have bought the item, and detailed information on why the item has been pulled from sale. Anyone who has purchased an item can take it to their nearest store in exchange for a full refund. No receipt is necessary.

Here is a list of the latest items being withdrawn from supermarkets and the reasons why:

Ramona - sold at Tesco and Sainsbury's

Ramona's is recalling Ramona's Heavenly Original Houmous because it may contain pieces of plastic. The possible presence of plastic presents a possible choking hazard and makes this product unsafe to eat.

Ramona said: "As a precautionary measure we are asking all customers who have bought this product with the above use-by date only, not to consume it, and to return it to their nearest store where they will receive a full refund (no receipt is necessary).

"No other products or batch codes are affected by this issue. We are really sorry about this but delivering the best quality product is our number one priority and we cannot take the risk of you finding plastic in the product."
