High fuel prices are contributing to the cost of living crisis currently affecting people up and down the country.
According to the RAC, the current average price for a litre of unleaded is 162.19p, while it is 176.18p for diesel. Part of the reason for the rise in price comes from a fuel shortage in the UK, the Mirror reports.
Drivers are keeping an eagle eye on petrol prices following the spike in the cost of living. Prices rose by 7% in the 12 months to March, their fastest rate for 30 years and up from 6.2% in February.
