Your favourite meal deal combo says a lot about your personality – and you're likely to be judged by what you pick.
Meal deals are a staple of British culture, and involve choosing three items, usually a sandwich, crisps or chocolate and a drink, for a discounted price. Supermarkets tend to have their own selection and deals, and many have their go-to favourites.
Tesco has let people behind the curtains to show what the most popular meal deal of 2022 was – and people were shocked.
In a nod to Spotify Wrapped, the supermarket has released its Clubcard Unpacked 2022, giving Clubcard members a look back at their shopping habits over the past year.
It also showed users what their most shopped items were, and also what the most popular combination of meal deal was.
Tesco revealed that their customers' most favourite meal deal combination was a Tesco Sausage Bacon and Egg triple sandwich, with McCoy's Flame Grilled Steak crisps and a regular Coca-Cola 500ml.
Other popular meal deal choices include the Tesco Chicken Bacon and Stuffing Sandwich, the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich, Walkers Cheese and Onion crisps, Fridge Raiders Southern Style Chicken Bites, Ufit High Protein Milkshake Drink Strawberry and Lucozade Energy Orange.
Meal deal fans were shocked by the most popular choice, with one TIktoker sharing his thoughts on the video sharing app.
In a video, content creator Joey Shaw said: "So Tesco Clubcard have released their end of year wrapped and I am genuinely shocked by what the top most popular meal deal is in this country.
After showing the top three, he said: "What in the '50-year-old man' is going on here? What in the 'builder', the 'truck driver' am I looking at?".
The 25-year-old added: "Individually these items are okay, but together... It's a no from me."
Many people in the comment section agreed with the TikToker, with one person saying: "This is actually outrageous".
Another added: "This gives off builder vibes 100%," and someone else agreed: "This is 1000% the builders and truck drivers, they do buy most meal deals I would think."
A third said: "Those builders come in everyday to get something like that I just know it."
However, others were quite satisfied by the nation's top pick, with one person saying: "Elite meal deal [to be fair]."
Another commented: "That's literally my meal deal."
