UK motorists will wish they lived in Toy Town after a children's plastic petrol station was spotted selling fuel for far less than grown-ups are paying in real life. The Tesco Extra service station is on the shelves for £15 and is a stark reminder of how petrol prices have soared for motorists.
Toy cars filling up are only paying 52.95p a litre while data firm Experian said the average price of a litre of petrol at UK forecourts reached a new high of 191.1p on Sunday.
One driver, who did not want to be named, said: "I had to laugh when I saw this toy petrol station. Prices at 53p a litre - I wish it was that low.
