Tesco has kickstarted celebrations for King Charles' Coronation next month - by placing a large sign in front of a loo roll display.
The supermarket previously left customers in stitches after displaying a poster reading "Let's celebrate the King's Coronation" next to shelves stocked full of tampons and sanitary pads.
Now, it has erected a sign with the same message in front of a stack of multi-pack Andrex toilet rolls.
It is the third time that Tesco has been involved in a hilarious royal mix-up, after another shopper spotted a range of Nando's sauces in their local shop's coronation display last week.
At the time, the store said it happened during a "brief crossover" of changing products in the aisle.
And in relation to the sanitary products mix-up, a Tesco spokesperson previously said: "We have Coronation signage through our stores.
"These products are not part of our Coronation range but we do have a great selection of food, drink and homeware for those looking to celebrate, including the Tesco Finest Coronation King Prawn sandwich, Finest Coronation Raspberry and Peach Bellini Trifle, and Coronation teapots, cake stands and mugs."
As well as launching a Coronation range, the supermarket will also open its first ever pub to celebrate the momentous occasion.
The King in the Castle will open on May 4 and 5 and have a themed menu, offering both daytime and evening menus for customers to choose from.
Highlights include a Royal High Tea, King Prawn and runny egg Burford Brown sandwiches and The Prince’s Crust Pie.
There will also be Coronation-themed Ploughman’s platters, sweet treats, snacks and nibbles.
In the evening, guests will be treated to a gastropub-style dining experience, with a selection of starters, mains, desserts and cocktails.
Some of the options available will be Camilla’s King Prawn Curry, Roast ‘SIR’loin Steak, deconstructed cheesecake, and cocktails including a trifle-inspired Bellini.
All proceeds from food and drink sales will go to The Prince’s Trust.
Outside, there will be a sampling station for passers-by to try bite-sized portions of dishes such as themed cupcakes.
Meanwhile, Marks & Spencer has celebrated the Coronation by designing a new version of its classic Colin the Caterpillar cake.
It wrote on Twitter: "To celebrate the coronation of Their Majesties King Charles III and Queen Camilla, we're so excited to share our limited-edition Coronation Colin.
"Who's going to be grabbing one of these ahead of the bank holiday weekend?"
But supermarket rival Aldi savagely mocked M&S over the themed cake, responding: "cancel the crowns CANCEL THE CROWNS."
King Charles' Coronation will take place on Saturday, May 6, with a bank holiday to follow on Monday, May 8.
Alessandra Bellini, Tesco Chief Customer Officer, previously said: “The Coronation is a historic moment and we want to help our customers celebrate it.
“As one of the most enduring parts of British culture, pubs have traditionally been an important part of local communities and so a pub felt like the perfect way to bring people together to mark this special occasion and enjoy delicious food.
“What’s more, we’ll donate £250,000 from the proceeds of sales of our limited-edition Coronation range in-store, along with all proceeds from the pub to The Prince’s Trust so we can all enjoy food that both tastes good and does good.
“Tesco and The Prince’s Trust have worked together for five years, so this is a wonderful way for us highlight the incredible work that they do and help them to continue to support young people across the UK for many years to come.
“Whether you’re planning to celebrate the Coronation at home with your own party, or are joining us at our pub, we’ve made sure that everyone can enjoy a royally-good weekend.”
