Tesco shoppers who get groceries delivered to their door will see some big changes coming into force next week.
The supermarket is set to bump up its minimum spend for online shoppers getting home deliveries from May 2, as well as increasing the amount you have to pay if you spend below this threshold. Currently, Tesco's minimum spend is £40, and shoppers who spend less than this on a home delivery have to pay a charge of £4 - but from next Tuesday, the minimum spend is set to increase to £50, with the charge also rising to £5 if you spend less than this on an online shop.
The minimum order fee of £25 for click and collect shoppers will remain the same, The Mirror reports. A Tesco spokesperson said: "To ensure we can continue to serve our online customers as effectively as possible, from May 2 we are making some changes to our minimum basket threshold, the first change we are making in nearly eight years.

"For the vast majority of our customers, there will be no change to the way they shop." However, the move sparked a backlash among shoppers when the plans were announced last month, with some branding Tesco "greedy" for hiking prices during the cost of living crisis and calling the decision "shocking".
One customer wrote on Twitter after hearing of the new minimum spend: "I'm disabled and live alone. I cant afford to spend £50 plus delivery every week. Fortnightly shopping means you can't always have fresh fruit or veg. Terrible decision made without considering low income, single people."
But the changes being introduced to home deliveries aren't the only ones that Tesco shoppers face over the next few weeks. Clubcard holders will get less money for their points when they redeem them with one of the supermarket's Rewards Partners, which includes restaurant chains, travel providers and family attractions, from June 14.
Currently, the value of Clubcard points triples when spend on a Reward Partner - but after the June date the points will only be worth double. This means that 500 points on your Clubcard, which would earn you £5 to spend in Tesco, will now give you £10 to use with a Rewards Partner, whereas the same number of points currently get you £15.
Drivers are also set to collect fewer Clubcard points when they fill up at a Tesco pump from June 14, in another change that has been called "rubbish" by some annoyed shoppers. Motorists will only collect one Clubcard point for every two litres of fuel they buy, instead of the current one point for every £2 worth of fuel.
