Tesco has confirmed it will be increasing the price of the popular meal deal for all shoppers who do not currently have a Clubcard.
The supermarket chain's popular sandwich, snack and drinks combo will rise by 50p for all shoppers not signed up to their loyalty scheme, meaning they will now pay £3.50.
Clubcard members can still pick up the popular lunchtime deal for £3 as the new prices come into place from Monday, February 28.
The price change comes as the supermarket has added the deal to its Clubcard prices scheme for the first time letting members earn points for every-time they pick up the lunch combo, reports The Mirror.
Tesco's popular loyalty scheme lets members earn points for every shop they complete in-stores, with every £1 spent earning one point.
These points can then be redeemed through vouchers in-store, or used to gain access to discounted day's out that includes holiday parks and cinema trips.
As an extra incentive, the supermarket has added regular Costa hot drinks to the meal deal that members can access in 2,000 Tesco stores for 12 weeks.
Costa drinks usually cost around £1.75 - £2.85 on their own.
Tesco chief customer officer Alessandra Bellini said: “Adding our ever-popular lunchtime meal deal to Clubcard Prices is the latest way we’re rewarding our 20 million Clubcard members with exclusive deals on thousands of products.
There are hundreds of products included in the lunchtime meal deal which means more than 10 million delicious combinations available across more than 2,700 of our stores – all for £3 – offering unrivalled choice and availability for our customers.”
They are the latest supermarket to make changes to their popular loyalty scheme and in-store deals, as Waitrose recently dropped its popular free newspaper deal for MyWaitrose members.
Sainsbury's also made changes to their Nectar loyalty scheme by launching the new Nectar Donate option where points could be used to make a donation towards a chosen charity.
Tesco's new meal deal prices will come into place on Monday, February 28.
