It's another bank holiday weekend and that means some shops and supermarkets will be changing their opening times on Monday.
Usually, the UK gets two bank holidays in May but this year a third was introduced to celebrate King Charles' coronation on May 6.
Tesco has confirmed that the opening hours for its larger stores will change over the late May bank holiday weekend.
As of writing, the Spring bank holiday weekend looks like the sun will be shining but most importantly it looks like it is going to be warm.
So if you decide to have a last minute BBQ or picnic in the park here is all you need to know about Tesco’s opening hours over the weekend.
Tesco late May bank holiday 2023 opening times
All Tesco stores will open under their normal hours on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the bank holiday weekend.
Only on the bank holiday itself, Monday May 29, will you see hours change slightly.
The majority of Tesco’s larger stores open their doors between 6am and 7am and close at between 10pm and midnight.
These will be the opening hours for Friday and Saturday.
On Sunday, larger Tesco stores are usually only open for six hours from 10am to 4pm, 11am to 5pm or midday until 6pm.
Tesco’s 24 hour stores close between will remain open as normal on Friday and will shut at 10pm on Saturday which is usually due to Sunday trading hours.
On the bank holiday Monday, the majority of Tesco's larger stores will be open from 8am to 6pm - this includes its 24 hour stores.
Some of its stores will be open a little later until 8pm.
In Scotland, larger Tesco stores will be open from 8am until 8pm on bank holiday Monday.
Tesco’s smaller Express stores will remain open under their normal hours over the bank holiday weekend.
Usually, these sites open from either 6am - 7am and close between 10pm and midnight.
