Tesco issues urgent four-week warning to anyone who owns a Clubcard

Popular supermarket Tesco has issued an urgent warning to anybody across the UK who owns a Clubcard.

Across the country, there are millions of Tesco customers that use their Clubcard to snag deals every day - but there is some potential bad news, reports Manchester Evening News. While people rack up their points, many end up forgetting to use them before they eventually expire.

More than two million Tesco customers are being urged to spend more than £16 million worth of Clubcard vouchers before they expire - at the end of February, just four weeks away.

The vouchers were first issued in February 2021, and are set to expire on February 28 this year. Clubcard vouchers can be used on shopping or fuel, or turned into vouchers for more than 100 Reward Partners including Pizza Express and Spa Seekers.

Tesco Loyalty Director, Tash Whitmey, said: "We want to help customers' household budgets stretch further right now and Clubcard is the best way to get great value with Tesco - from Clubcard Rewards to thousands of exclusive deals through Clubcard Prices.

"With more than £16million worth of Clubcard vouchers due to expire at the end of February, we’re reminding customers to spend them in what can be a tough time of year, as family budgets feel the new year strain."

This news comes as Tesco recently released a 'Wrapped' of their own, similar to Spotify's round-up of the best songs of the year per user.

The new Clubcard Unpacked service reveals to shoppers how much they spent on groceries in 2022, as well as highlights of your most frequently bought items, your favourite meal deal combos, and which supermarket aisle you shop from the most.

The Clubcard Unpacked feature also shows customers how much they saved by using their card.
