Tesco customers have been urged to check their Clubcard vouchers after a whopping €1 million worth of coupons are set to expire.
Buyers get one point for every €1 spent which can be converted into discount vouchers for their shopping bills as part of the Clubcard scheme. Nearly €1 million in vouchers were sent out in March 2021 which are set to lose their validity on May 21.
Almost 75% of customers have lost or misplaced paper discount vouchers, a survey by Tesco Ireland revealed this month. The retail giant is asking customers to check their app to see if they have any unused coupons available, the Irish Mirror reports.

Tesco Ireland Customer Director, Cathal Deavy said: "Everyone loves a little win, be it finding some cash in an old jacket pocket or a money-off voucher you forgot you had." He emphasized that now is the best time to check your app, with less than one month before the expiry date for the batch of Clubcard vouchers.
The groceries giant has been working to digitise their Clubcard programme further. Now, any Clubcard customer can turn their points into vouchers instantly after they receive 150 points or more.
These vouchers can be exchanged for greater than their value with the following Reward Partners: Tesco Mobile Ireland, Dublin Zoo, Milano, Disney+, ODEON Cinemas, The AA, Irish Ferries, Stena Line, Center Parcs, Hotels.com and Royal Caribbean International, to name a few. Customers can also donate their vouchers to Tesco’s charity partner, Children’s Health Foundation.
