A supermarket pizza that sells for just £5 has been praised as "better than takeaway" by shoppers who are leaving rave reviews.
Franco Manca, a pizza chain that has more than 70 restaurants in Leeds, Manchester, the Midlands, South England and across London, has done a deal with Tesco to sell its products in stores, the Liverpool Echo reports.
Customers can currently choose between four different types of pizza for £5.75 each, or £5 with a Tesco Clubcard. The Clubcard offer runs until March 14.
Pizzas available are fennel sausage and chargrilled red pepper with mozzarella, quattro formaggi with a balsamic glaze, beef meatball, red onion and pecorino, and salami, fried onion and chilli-infused honey.
While the pizzas haven't been on sale for long, there are already many satisfied customers. One left a review on the Tesco website saying: "That is absolutely delicious pizza. I would not expect to get such a tasty pizza from a shop. Can't wait to get one next time".
Another wrote: "One of the best pizzas on the market. The base is fluffy but crispy, and the spicy meatballs and pecorino are delicious. Top class ingredients, well worth the money."

A third said: "One of the best bought ready-to-cook pizzas that I've bought for a long time! I'll be buying this one again and I look forward to trying the rest of the range. The dough had bubbled up at the edges and the sausage had a good fennel flavour."
And another fan added: "Absolutely delicious! Better than a delivered pizza and cheaper too."
