Tesco has provided an update after customers reported its website had crashed on Tuesday, November 15 as its Christmas 2022 delivery slots became available for the first time. The slots opened to Delivery Saver customers at 6am, but shortly after there was a queue of over 100,000 shoppers, with many taking to social media to complain.
The supermarket quickly apologised to those having trouble with the website and Groceries app and has since provided an update. Speaking to Wales Online, a Tesco spokesperson said: "Online Christmas slots are now available for Delivery Saver customers on our website and Groceries app after some customers temporarily had difficulty logging on or placing orders this morning.
"We're really sorry about that and it has now been resolved with slots available for both Home Delivery and Click+Collect over the Christmas period."
