Tesco Cafe free kids meals warning as scheme set to end within days

There are only four days left to claim a free meal for kids at Tesco stores across Glasgow, warns Money Saving Expert (MSE).

Taking to their own website, the financial gurus say that when an adult makes a purchase in one of Tesco's cafés, their kid can eat for free.

However it only applies to Clubcard members meaning if you are not signed up, you cannot claim the freebie.

The deal has been in place since December 26 however there are only a limited number of days left with it set to stop on Friday when the cafes close.

So if your nearest Tesco cafe is on Maryhill Road, you have until 5pm. The same goes for Barrhead Road and Cobden Road at the St. Rollox Business and Retail Park.

In order to claim the deal, as well as being a Clubcard holder, the adult the child is with must first purchase a meal.

Experts at MSE say: "Tesco told us there is no fixed minimum spend, so you could pay 60p for a piece of fruit in its cafés to claim one free kids' meal.

"Kids’ meals usually cost up to £3.25 and they can choose from a breakfast (normally £2.25, dishes include beans, egg or avocado on toast), a hot meal deal (normally £3.25, dishes include fish fingers, chicken goujons, and mac and cheese), or cold pick and mix deal (normally £3, includes a sandwich, drink, fruit and two snacks).

"The kids’ meals available may vary across different cafés."

You can find your nearest cafe via the Tesco website.
