Tesco, B&M and Kinder have all issued urgent recall notices this week due to health and safety concerns. Some products have been linked to salmonella outbreaks, while other foods contain pieces of metal.
When a product is recalled for any reason, Trading Standards shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.

Ferrero
Fererro have recalled a number of their Kinder products due to an outbreak of salmonella linked to their Arlon site in Belgium between June and April. Symptoms caused by Salmonella usually include fever, diarrhoea and abdominal cramps. The following products are affected:
- Kinder Surprise 20g. The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including January 4, 2023.
- Kinder Surprise 20g x 3 multipack . The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including January 4, 2023.
- Kinder Surprise 100g. The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including August 21, 2022.
- Kinder Mini Eggs 75g. The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including August 21, 2022.
- Kinder Egg Hunt Kit. The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including August 21, 2022.
- Kinder Schokobons 70g, 200g and 320g. The affected packs are those with best before dates up to and including January 4, 2023.

Tesco
Tesco Free From Digestive Biscuits . Tesco are recalling this product as it may contain small pieces of metal, making it unsafe to eat. The affected products are those with a best before date up to March 2023. f you have bought this product do not eat it. You can return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. Scratch Meals
Scratch Meals products are sold at Sainsburys and Waitrose. They are ready-made meal kits which include all the ingredients you need to prepare a specific meal.
The affected product is Scratch Chicken & Veggie Tikka Masala with spiced brown rice. This only affects products with a use by date between March 27 and April 2, 2022. If you have any which you have frozen at home, check the date before eating. The reason for the recall is that it it contains incorrect ingredients, Niacin and Zinc which are not listed in the ingredients list on the label. If you have bought this product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Interdragon International Trading Co. Ltd and Asia Oriental Market Ltd
Interdragon International Trading Co. Ltd and Asia Oriental Market Ltd are recalling XZL Milk Fruit Jelly School Bag because the product contains ingredients that are not permitted as an ingredient in jelly confectionery as they present a choking hazard. The affected products are 600g bags which have a best before date between September 1 and 30, 2022. If you have bought this product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
Parsons Pickles
Parsons Pickles is recalling Parson's Pickles Pickled Mussels because some jars have been found to contain glass fragments. The affected batch is only sold in B&M stores UK-wide. Affected products are those with a best before date up to November 2024. If you have bought this product do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.
