The cost of living and increasing food prices are making the headlines and figures have shown that the cost of a family's daily bread increased significantly last month as the price of other crucial items such as milk and cooking oil have also shot up.
Earlier this year, Tesco chairman John Allan issued a warning to customers over the continuing rise of food prices in the UK - saying the worst is still to come.

Tesco
Tesco often gives online coupons on selected products when doing an online shop. Some examples in the last year include £4 off a £12 spend on frozen food such as Birds Eye and Ben & Jerry's, and £5 off a £15 spend on cleaning/laundry items such as Persil and Dettol.
Tesco meal deal prices have risen from £3 to £3.50 but owners of a Tesco Clubcard can beat the price rise by accessing the brand's 'Clubcard prices'.
Iceland
Iceland online shoppers should keep an eye out for codes on selected products or categories. For example, in September 2021 it offered an online shopping code for free fruit or vegetables (up to £3-worth).
They currently have deals on such as, any three fresh meat products for £9, Walkers Classic Variety Multipack Crisps, 22 pack for £3.50 or two for £6, £2 for items such as Goodfellas pizza, Greggs sausage and bean melts, Young's scampi and McCain home chips.
Morrisons
Mirror vouchers has a discount code for £10 off a £60 spend when you enter the code at checkout.
ASDA
There are three discount codes you can use to get money off at ASDA. They include 10% off an order, £7 off when you order, and £10 of an order depending on how much you spend. You can see all three of the discount codes here.
ASDA currently have a 50% off sale on some of their products such as Mr Kipling Cherry Bakewell's for 95p, Belvita Breakfast Biscuits Milk & Cereals five Pack for £1, Pampers Active Fit Nappies £5 and Pantene Pro-V Lift'N'Volume Silicone Free Hair Shampoo and Conditioner, with Biotin and Rose Water for £2.50.
Sainsbury's
Sainsbury's frequently offers selected products for free via codes as part of an online shop, which you can find on its little-known Freebies & Competitions page. Some examples over the last year include 'free' £2.85 Tampax, 'free' £2.75 Yeo Valley yogurt, and 'free' £1.65 Dentastix dog treats.
The supermarket also offer a range of great deals on their website where you can find great food items in their categories such as, £1 and under, £2 and under, half price and top rated.
