Tesco, Asda, Iceland and other major grocery stores have been forced to pull a number of items from their shelves following warnings of salmonella and biscuits containing metal. Customers have been urged not to eat certain items but instead to throw them away if they have recently been purchased, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA)
Following reports of Kinder products containing salmonella, further chocolate products from Ferrero are being recalled following an outbreak of the bacteria. Kinder Surprise, Kinder Mini Eggs, Kinder Surprise 100g and Kinder Schokobons have all been taken off shelves following an announcement from the FSA on Friday, April 8.
The warning comes after Tesco was forced to recall their Tesco Free digestive biscuits from shelves due to warnings they may contain small pieces of metal. The 160g pack size treats were deemed unsafe to eat by the FSA who urged customers to return the item to the store for a full refund.
When a product is recalled, for any reason, the (FSA) shares details on what you should do if you have bought the item, as well as detailed information on why the product is being pulled from shelves.
Below is a list of items from supermarket stores that the FSA has told people not to consume if you have bought it.
Asda, Tesco, Morrisons, Waitrose, Iceland and Aldi
