Terrifying moment two men are seen encouraging dog to savagely attack family cat

A shocking video has captured the shocking moment two dog owners encourage their pets to maul a family cat.

The home video footage shows the two heartless dog owners allow their pets to freely attack the cat, named Buddy, who was sitting on the porch.

The men can be heard shouting "get him" and good boy" while the dogs attack the cat.

Moments beforehand, the two men could be seen on camera with their dogs walking past the home, before stopping after noticing the cat.

The horrific attack lasts 15 seconds before a homeowner comes out to try and save the cat.

Someone can be heard shouting "no", while Buddy is clearly in discomfort.

Pennsylvania SPCA are investigating the attack, which happened in Frankford, Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.

"The Pennsylvania SPCA is asking for the public’s help identifying two individuals who appear to be responsible for an intentional dog attack on a family’s cat in the city’s Frankford neighbourhood this morning," Pennsylvania SPCA said in a statement.

"The video shows two individuals walking two dogs passed a family home on Granite Street.

"On the video it appears that an individual spots the cat named Buddy on a porch, comes back and releases one dog on the cat followed by a second dog.

"As the attack continued, a person or persons can be heard on the video encouraging the dogs to continue attacking the cat until a resident of the property comes out to intervene on behalf of the cat.

"Buddy sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported to the PSPCA."

In an update posted on Wednesday, Pennsylvania SPCA said Buddy had been sent to an ER vet to be closely monitored.

"He made it through the night.

"He continues to be in extremely critical condition. We are (very) cautiously optimistic," the update said.

Pennsylvania SPCA have now released pictures of two men they wish to identify in connection with the attack.
