A shocked family caught the moment a snake suddenly slithered into their home as they were trying to eat their dinner.
The family had been sitting at the table when the three-foot slitherer suddenly entered their home.
Amid the cries and shock they managed to lose track of the cold-blooded reptile and it crawled under their dishwasher in the kitchen.
To their horror they haven’t seen the corn snake since the dinner time incident.
The shock visit was caught on video.
During the footage her son Sammy is heard shouting: "It's a snake. It's f***ing moving. It's a snake."
Mum of four Clare Farrell, 41, admitted the missing snake had spooked her and her family at the time.
She told Manchester Evening News : "I was making dinner and I saw it on the floor.
“At first I thought my son Sammy was playing a prank. Then I saw it moving and it's gone under the cupboards. We can't find it. It's hiding.
"I saw it under the cupboard. It was looking at us. It was under the dishwasher.
“We''ve had the dishwasher out but we just can't find it. We don't know where it's gone."
“I don't know where it is. I don't know whether it's gone behind the walls or not. The kids are frightened.
“Every time I walk in the kitchen I'm on tenterhooks. I don't know whether it's gone or it’s still here.
"I'm not too bad but the kids haven't been sleeping. I just want to find it and get rid of it. “Supposedly it's a corn snake. They have a bite but it's not venomous.
"I've also got a dog and two cats and I've been trying to get them away.
"I nearly picked it up.”
In an effort to establish whether the snake remains at their home, the family placed a dead mouse on the kitchen floor and filmed it overnight but the mouse was untouched in the morning.
Clare said she had been contacted by two different people from her area who had said their snake was missing and it may be theirs.
She went on: "Sammy isn't fazed but the girls are really scared and the eight-year-old is scared too."
