A terrified puppy was found dumped near a rubbish tip, tied to a fence with just a single shoelace. The stray pup was discovered "shivering and scared" by a concerned woman who was taking her bins out in Missouri, US. She kindly stayed with the pooch while animal services came to the rescue.
Stay Rescue of St. Louis shared the heartbreaking photos on Facebook, which captured the malnourished dog looking upset and lonely. He was found sat on an unwanted sofa with a collar around his neck, indicating that he was somebody's pet. Animal lovers were incredibly saddened by the news and agreed the post brought them to tears.
