With I'm A Celebrity's Matt Hancock engaged in his fifth consecutive gruesome trial it was presenter Dec Donnelly who surprisingly lifted the lid on his own phobia during Sunday night's show.
Matt was voted by viewers to take part in 'House of Horrors' - a challenge that ultimately saw him gain nine out of a possible 11 stars on offer as he made his way through a tiny building full of the usual critters.
Co-host Ant McPartlin, meanwhile, told the MP: "Inside this giant doll's house are four rooms. All you have to do Matt is crawl around, searching for stars. Every star that’s in your star bag at the end of time will count as a meal for camp."
Dec soon spotted his somewhat unusual fear Matt's first room forcing the terrified-looking Geordie to admit: "Pigeons. I don’t like it Ant, I don’t like it. It’s the 'flappiness' that gets me. I don’t like the beaks either."
Disgraced politician Matt, however, had no problem contending with the birds, but he wasn't pleased to encounter a staggering 2.5 million flies in the room.
He quickly told hosts Ant and Dec: "The thing you don’t know is this really smells!"
And he was even less impressed with what was in store in the game's final room - his own fear - snakes.
"Snakes, you know that I don’t like snakes. Oh my goodness, that’s alive!" he exclaimed.
Earlier in the day, meanwhile, medics were forced to rush into camp when Matt yelped in pain after being stung by a scorpion.
The creature attacked the MP shortly before breakfast and nipped him unexpectedly leaving him yelping in pain.
A show source said: "Matt didn't see the scorpion until it was too late and it bit his finger. He felt a lot of pain and made a yelping noise, but thankfully for him there was no lasting damage.
"Medics checked him over and gave him a clean bill of health but the whole camp is now watching out for them.
"Matt was saying afterwards it felt twice as painful as a bee sting."
