Russian President Vladimir Putin on Wednesday warned that tensions are building in the Arctic as NATO expands its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, warning that Russia would respond in kind if Western countries seize Russian trade vessels.
Putin also accused European Union countries of piracy over the seizure of Russian trade vessels, according to IFX. He said Russia would respond in kind if Western countries moved to seize Russian commercial ships, TASS reported.
