Tension at Nagaram in Thungathurthy mandal

Tension prevailed for some time at Nagaram village in Thungathurthy mandal of Nalgonda district on Wednesday when some alleged TRS activists tried to prevent padayatra by YSRTP ‘Praja Prsathanam’ by party president Y.S. Sharmila. Police find a tough time in dealing with agitators.

YSRTP leaders alleged that Energy Minister G. Jagadeesh Reddy and MLA Gadari Kishore are behind the attacks in which one woman was injured. Knowing this police rushed to the spot and sent away the agitating TRS activists. They also promised the YSRTP leaders to take action against those responsible for the attack.

500-km mark crossed

The ‘Praja Prasthanam’ pada yatra crossed 500 kiometres on the 41 st day on Wednesday in Thungathurthy mandal and the event was celebrated by party activists.

“We have started our padayatra at Chevella and went through Rajendranagar, Munugodu, Bhuvanagiri, Alair and reached Thungathurthy Assembly constituency. Several problems faced by people came to our notice. While rulers are claiming that people are happy, the ground reality is completely different. Farmers and unemployed are committing suicides. Women are asking for double bed room houses. Our pada yatra was intended to bring their problems to open. People have decided to teach a lesson to the TRS,” commented Ms. Sharmila.
