A tender moment between the Duchess of Cambridge and her daughter Charlotte left royal fans delighted last night.
Kate, 40, and seven-year-old Princess Charlotte sat next to each other in the royal box during the three-hour concert, allowing for lots of classic parental moments.
This included a sweet moment where Kate adjusted her daughter's hair - while Charlotte looked exhausted after her lengthy day, which included her first official trip to Wales.
One fan wrote: "A sweet moment between Catherine and Charlotte today at the #PlatinumPartyatthePalace."
Another said: "I think she was getting tired and wanted to lay her head on her mum's knees."
A third joked: "Okay, where are the sweets mum?"

The Cambridge children had a busy weekend, with Charlotte accompanying her brothers George, eight, and Louis, four, to Trooping The Colour.
Louis stole the show with her series of expressive faces during the event - and his question to the Queen during the RAF flypast.
Then without Louis, George and Charlotte accompanied Prince William and Kate to Cardiff yesterday morning before attending the concert at Buckingham Palace.
The surprise visit to Cardiff Castle during rehearsals for the Platinum Jubilee Celebration Concert taking place in the grounds saw them impress onlookers with their music and technical skills.
Charlotte took up the chance to lead the orchestra in a rendition of We Don’t Talk About Bruno from the Disney film Encanto.
Meanwhile, George, who is one day expected to be given the title the Prince of Wales, took the lead in the technical booth, taking full advantage of the opportunity to play with the sound and lighting decks by asking what all the buttons mean.
Throughout the concert, the royal children looked to be having fun, as they were seen waving their flags and singing along to various performances.
Rock band Queen, whose guitarist Brian May performed on Buckingham Palace roof for the last Party at the Palace in 2002, was joined by singer Adam Lambert, while Eurovision star Sam Ryder also took to the stage in a glittering Union Jack-patterned suit.
Sir Elton John featured in a pre-recorded performance, and live performances were also given by Alicia Keys, Nile Rodgers, Andrea Bocelli, Hans Zimmer, Ella Eyre, Craig David, Mabel, and Elbow.
