Every city has its attractions, whether iconic landmarks or gems so hidden that visitors only learn about them from locals, but Newcastle has more than its fair share which certainly justify our sense of Geordie pride.
Ok, we may be biased but the city seems to have everything, from first-class theatres, galleries and museums to vibrant nightlife. Music venues ranging from the huge, in terms of Utilita Arena, to the small - The Cluny - with newcomer The Grove slotting, size-wise, nicely in between the two.
Then there is the tucked-away arty quarter of Ouseburn; the quayside with its stunning bridges and the buzzy city heart of restaurants and bars. On top of that, there's such easy access to nearby open countryside and the expanse of coast which offer a complete change of scene.
