Four decades on from the beginning of the miners’ strike this year, we would like to speak to people living in former mining communities about life there now.
We would like to hear about the impact of the strike, and subsequent colliery closures, on the community. We’re particularly interested in hearing from those who worked in collieries, as well as their children and grandchildren. In what ways has the area changed? What is the legacy of the strike and colliery closures?
