Indian mytho-fiction writer Anand Neelakantan is back with a new novel, ‘Nala Damayanti’, this year. This rom-com is a retelling of the timeless and lesser-known story from the Mahabharata. But did you know that apart from writing books and scripts for the screen, Neelakantan is also a painter and an actor? In this interview, he talks about his passion for telling stories, his experience of working with ace filmmakers SS Rajamouli and Rakesh Omprakash Mehra, his new-found passion for acting and love for painting. 1. You have written mytho-fictions for adults and kids, and now ‘Nala Damayanti’ revisits the timeless story from the Mahabharata. What was the inspiration for writing this book?
