HYDERABAD: At a cost of 32.54 crore, the state government has undertaken work for modernising existing infrastructure and basic amenities in 61 mortuaries in the state.
On Wednesday, health minister T Harish Rao announced that 10 mortuaries at government tertiary teaching hospitals in Hyderabad — including Fever Hospital, Chest Hospital, Osmania General Hospital — as well as in Mahabubnagar, Siddipet, Nalgonda, Suryapet Nizamabad, Warangal, Adilabad, will be renovated at a cost of 11.12 crore. 21.42 crore is being spent to modernise mortuary facilities at 51 other government hospitals that are under the control of the Telangana Vaidya Vidhan Parishad. tnn
