HYDERABAD: Telangana Congress president A Revanth Reddy on Friday promised to recommend to Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi the names of party leaders who excel in enrolling maximum number of voters as Congress members from every polling booth in their respective assembly and parliamentary constituencies.
He also sought to warn that those not working seriously in the party’s digital membership enrolment drive will neither get party tickets to contest polls nor any post in the party. “At least hundred voters from every polling booth is mandatory to become a member of Pradesh Congress Committee,” he said.
Stating that nearly 40 lakh voters had enrolled as Congress members so far, he called upon the party activists to achieve 50-lakh membership.
He said that CM K Chandrasekhar Rao had hired the services of political strategist Prashant Kishor due to survey reports indicating the revival of Congress in Telangana. “If KCR has PK on his side, Congress has 40 lakh AK-47s in the form of voters as its members,” Revanth said.
