Telangana: Indian Army joins rescue efforts in SLBC tunnel collapse

Collapsed portion of the SLBC tunnel

Nagarkurnool: A section of the roof, approximately three metres in length, of the under-construction Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) tunnel collapsed on Saturday morning near Domalapenta in Nagarkurnool District, Telangana. According to a statement, six to eight workers are feared trapped inside.

Swift rescue operations are underway, with the Telangana & Andhra Sub Area coordinating efforts. The Engineer Task Force (ETF) of the Bison Division from Secunderabad has been deployed.
