The Panjagutta police of West Zone, Hyderabad are on the lookout for former Bodhan MLA Shakeel Aamir’s son Raheel Aamir for his involvement in a road accident. Station House Officer (SHO) of Panjagutta B. Durga Rao was suspended for implicating another person instead of the MLA’s son in the case.
An official note from the Hyderabad Police said that “Commissioner Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy suspended B. Durga Rao, SHO Panjagutta for false implication of another person instead of former Bodhan MLA Shakeel Aamir’s son for his involvement in a road accident in Panjagutta.”
Officials said Raheel Aamir crashed his luxury car into the road barricade near Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Praja Bhavan, Begumpet during the wee hours of December 24 and escaped the scene even when the on-duty police tried to take him into custody. The barricades were put up right before the flyovers in the night as a part of road safety measures during Christmas and New Year’s week, said the police.
