HYDERABAD: BJP's candidate Venkat Ramana Reddy has emerged as "giant killer" by defeating both the incumbant chief minister of Telangana K. Chandrashekar Rao and Congress CM candidate Revanth Reddy at the Kamareddy assembly seat seat.

In 2018, Gampa Govardhan from the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) won the seat with a 2.83% margin over Mohd Ali Shabbir of the Indian National Congress. Kamareddy is a crucial constituency in Nizamabad district, known for its mix of urban and rural demographics. Voting took place on November 30, 2023.

More details awaited.
