HYDERABAD: Ameenpur police recovered bodies of two persons from Sultanpur lake at Krishnareddypeta in Sangareddy district on Saturday morning.
During investigation, police deduced that the two men whose bodies were recovered from the waters were not linked.
One of them was identified as Srinivas Reddy who police suspect might have died by suicide by jumping into the lake. Family problems are suspected to have driven Reddy to take the extreme step. Police, however, are still trying to ascertain the reasons behind his action.
Reddy left his house on Friday and did not return. On Saturday morning, his body was found floating by locals who alerted the cops. The body was retrieved later. The other man was identified as Malli. Police suspect he might have drowned after he ventured into the lake.
Malli did not know swimming but went deep and accidentally drowned. His body too was recovered.
In both the cases, police registered two different cases under section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC. The family members of both the deceased were informed about the deaths after they were identified with the support of locals.
