Tehran reveals plans for future peace talks with US as envoys arrive in Qatar

  • The MoU comprises 14 points, notably the 60-day safe reopening of the Strait of Hormuz and the termination of US sanctions against Iran.
  • Iran's chief negotiator, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, emphasized that current discussions focus on meeting MoU commitments and highlighted the temporary nature of the Strait of Hormuz agreement.
  • The peace process appears stalled, with both Iran and the US having recently exchanged attacks in the Gulf, jeopardizing an interim deal signed two weeks prior.
