Tehran blanketed in smoke after Israel hits fuel storage sites

Tehran's skyline was blanketed by heavy smoke on Sunday, 8 March, following Israeli strikes on oil storage facilities and refineries.
The Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) reported that approximately 20 large oil storage tanks were targeted in the attack on Saturday, 7 March, causing a major fire at the Aqdasieh fuel depot.
Footage depicted plumes of dark smoke from the oil facility lingering and merging with the cloudy sky over the Iranian capital.
The National Iranian Oil Company confirmed that oil depots in both Tehran and Alborz provinces were struck, and four of its employees were killed in the blitz.
Following the attacks, Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his government would continue its assaults and strike Iran's rulers "without mercy".
