Two teenage boys have been rushed to hospital following a double 'stabbing' in South Lanarkshire on Friday night.
The incident took place at around 9.30pm when officers were alerted to reports of a stabbing on Lickprivick Road, East Kilbride.
Emergency services including Police Scotland and Scottish Ambulance Service raced to the scene.
Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were rushed to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.
Their conditions are not yet known.
Cops have now launched a probe into the incident but say they are following a positive line of enquiry.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Lickprivick Road, East Kilbride to reports of a stabbing at around 9.30pm on Friday, 15 April, 2022.
“Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
“Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of enquiry.”
