Two teenagers killed in a car crash in the early hours of last week have been named as tributes pour in for the two young men.
The West Sussex Coroner’s Office confirmed 17-year-old Josh Dilloway had died in the crash near Chichester, while the second victim was identified as 18-year-old Jack Chambers.
Both were sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the single-vehicle accident.
Two others in the vehicle - the driver and a passenger - were taken to hospital for further treatment.
The pair, both 17-year-old girls, are said to have suffered minor injuries, according to Sussex Police.
Heartfelt tributes have been pouring in with flowers and personal items seen placed around the base of a tree close to the scene of the horror crash.
A send-off releasing a number of red, purple, and orange balloons was also organised for friends and family to celebrate the lives of the teenagers and to pay respects.
Josh’s brother, Theo Dilloway, led tributes on social media and shared pictures of his ‘beautiful’ sibling, including one of him smiling as a youngster.
His profound message alongside the images said: “Rest in perfect peace to my beautiful brother.
“His life was sadly lost on March 3 2022. Anyone who knew Josh knew him for his laughter and smiles that he put on people’s faces.
“Everyone who is grieving will know that there will be more happy memories than bad ones.
“He was not only my brother but my best friend, my teammate, my player two.
“I love you so much.
“Fly high and I will make you proud.”
The crash happened in Kennel Hill south of Goodwood on Thursday, March 3 with emergency service being called shortly after 1am.
Sussex Police has said the families are being supported by family liaison officers and added the investigation is ongoing to establish the full circumstances.
The force also appealed to anybody who witnessed the collision or who has information to contact them on collision.appeal@sussex.police.uk, quoting Operation Widecombe.
