Homicide detectives have charged two Hunter teenagers with murder after a fatal stabbing earlier this year.
Initial reports of an assault drew officers to Argenton in the early hours of Sunday, April 19.
Lake Macquarie police arrived to find a 38-year-old man at the scene with stab wounds, police said in a statement.
The man died at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics.
A 22-year-old was charged over the alleged murder and remains before the courts.
Detectives on Thursday charged two boys, both aged 16, in relation to the death.
Both are accused of murder, and police have also charged one of the teenagers with failing to comply with orders to access digital evidence.
Both were remanded to face a children's court on Thursday.
Police said investigations under Strike Force Brave were ongoing.
