Two teenagers have been charged after cars were found ablaze near a Scots retail park.
The alarm was raised at around 7.10pm on Saturday when officers received reports of vehicles on fire near St Catherines Retail Park in Perth.
Emergency crews including Police Scotland and Scottish Fire and Rescue Service raced to the scene.
The fire was put out and nobody was injured in the incident.
Photos taken at the site show the aftermath of the inferno, with one of the motors completely burned out.
The interior is black with ash, with wires hang loose from the ignition and the doors and bonnet stripped of paint.
Karen Thomson from Dundee owns one of the cars and the ground where the vehicle was parked.
The 59-year-old says she was alerted to the fire from a colleague who saw smoke billow from the motor nearby and witnessed the culprits in action.
She told the Record: "We didn't use the car, we were waiting for it to be repaired and for parts to be delivered, but it's worrying for future plans for the ground because we are intending on doing things there."
Two boys, aged 13 and 14, have since been charged in relation to the incident and reported to the Youth Justice Assessor.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers received report of two cars on fire near St Catherines Retail Park in Perth around 7.10pm on Saturday, 9 April, 2022.
