Teenager with mental age of six turned away from Legoland 'because he's too old'

An 18-year-old with a mental age of six has been left disappointed after he was turned away from Legoland Discovery Centre. Ethan Wheale, who has Down's Syndrome, loves Lego and has visited the attraction "numerous times".

But on his latest visit to the Birmingham centre with his aunt he was told he could not go in as there was no "child" in the group. They were told as Ethan had recently turned 18 he could no longer be counted as a child and attend the regular sessions.

Now his dad, Gordon, has blasted the "ridiculous" situation. He told how his son has Down's Syndrome and ADHD which meant he had a mental aged of "about six".
