A 17-year-old has received stitches in hospital after being slashed with a knife during a Mansfield park robbery. Nottinghamshire Police says that the male victim was approached by three other male youths who demanded his phone.
It happened as the 17-year-old was walking near the gym equipment in Titchfield Park on Monday (September 26). It took place between 8.15pm and 8.35pm, with Nottinghamshire Police now hunting three suspects.
The force also says that patrols in the area have been increased following the incident, which started when the victim dropped his phone as he started to run off. He went to retrieve it, which is when one of the suspects slashed his arm with a knife.
