Teenager in hospital after 'targeted' shooting

Police have cordoned off a road in the Wirral after a teenager was shot yesterday evening (May 11). Officers are currently on scene on Fender Way in Birkenhead, reports the Liverpool Echo. A 17-year-old boy was taken to Arrowe Park Hospital after the ‘targeted attack’.

He sustained injuries to his leg, but remains in a stable condition. Detectives are advising the public that there is not a wider risk to safety.
