A teenager faces a "significant" sentence after he was found guilty of stabbing two young men in Nottingham city centre. Michael Nxusani, 19, of Grassington Road, Bobbers Mill, was convicted of two offences of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, possession of an offensive weapon and violent disorder at his Nottingham Crown Court trial.
The verdicts were delivered on Monday afternoon (October 24) after the jury had deliberated for nearly six hours. Nxusani stabbed his victims after a large-scale fight broke out in Lower Parliament Street, at the corner of the Jollibee restaurant and Clumber Street.
Nxusani was identified by a police officer after footage of Clumber Street, Nottingham, was put out on the police intranet following the disturbance. On his arrest, a mobile phone was recovered - which detailed Google searches and searches for news stories hours after the two men were stabbed.

The phone's internet history revealed from the morning of December 5, in the hours after the incident, the handset was being used to search local news sites from 8.46am onwards and, certainly by the end of the day, was clicking on live updates about this particular incident.
A breakdown of the search history was explained to the jury, where the phone user was allegedly clicking on a Nottingham Post story, where part of the headline read "What happened in Nottingham city centre as two men were..."
Nottinghamshire Live was running live scene updates of the incident - and the same story was being clicked on, the court was told. Also, one partially headlined story showed up, "Shock Nottingham city centre major..." - the full headline was not shown - which was again also allegedly being clicked on repeatedly.
A Google search was allegedly found for "Nottingham Post and stabbing" and "Nottingham and Post". Statements from police - read in the case - told of their arrival at the scene of an incident in Lower Parliament Street, at the corner of Jollibee restaurant and Clumber Street.
PC Thomas Richardson was the first officer on the scene on Saturday, December 4, where a male had two large patches of blood on the back of his thighs. He described two puncture wounds to the back of the left upper thigh, and two more on the upper right thigh. A third smaller wound could be seen, and all seemed to have penetrated the fat only, the court was told, and his injuries were not life-threatening.
Sentencing of Nxusani, who is of previous good character, is planned at a date to be confirmed. Judge Steven Coupland said his sentence of detention will be "significant" but he needs reports on him.
