A teenager is fighting for life after being hit by a bus in St Helens.
Emergency services were called to reports that a person had been hit by a bus at around 11.05pm on Thursday, March 30, at the junction of Corporation Street and Parr Street. Paramedics rushed an 18-year-old man to hospital with serious injuries.
Police have confirmed that the man remains in a critical condition this morning. The bus driver stopped at the scene and is assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective sergeant Kurt Timpson from the force’s Matrix serious collision investigation unit said: "Our thoughts are very much with the man’s family as they wait for news on his condition, and they are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.
"Meanwhile, we have launched an investigation to understand the circumstances of what happened. I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time of this collision, who may have seen the incident or events leading up to the collision to please contact with us.
"In addition we appeal to anyone with dashcam, or who lives locally with CCTV or smart doorbell footage to get in touch. Every piece information is vitally important to our investigation to establish what happened.
