A 17-year-old boy was stabbed and dumped in canal with police now launching a murder investigation.
The teenager was pulled from the Grand Union Canal by Scrubs Lane in Harlesden, north west London, following reports of a stabbing at 5.45pm on Sunday.
Despite the efforts of paramedics he was pronounced dead at 6.10pm
The Metropolitan Police said in a statement: "Police were called at approximately 17:45hrs on Sunday, 25 June to reports of a male in the canal by Scrubs Lane, NW10 suffering a stab injury.
"Officers and London Ambulance Service attended the scene.
"A 17-year-old boy was pulled from the water. However, despite the efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 18:10hrs.
"His next of kin have been informed. A crime scene remains in place.
"No arrests; enquiries into the circumstances continue."
