A 19-year-old man has been arrested after a bottle shop worker was stabbed in Darwin.
Officers were called to a BWS drive-through on Sunday night after reports a man had assaulted an employee.
Police say the worker was stabbed and a 19-year-old man left the scene in a car.
Paramedics and officers arrived to find the employee dead with multiple stab wounds.
Police arrested the offender on Monday morning and also took a 15-year-old and 16-year-old into custody.
The assault appeared to be related to an earlier incident several suburbs away at the Beachfront Hotel, said NT Police Assistant Commissioner Michael White.
A blue Toyota Camry was seen at both venues.
He said a third assault, which included a robbery, in the suburb of Karama could also be linked.
"This series of events if obviously quite distressing and disturbing for all involved," he said.
"We certainly are doing everything we can to resolve the matter as soon as possible."
BWS owners Endeavour Group, which recently acquired the Beachfront Hotel, confirmed the death of the worker.
"Our thoughts are with the team member's family, friends and loved ones," said chief executive Steve Donohue.
He said the company would provide counselling and support to its Darwin employees and the worker's family.
NT Deputy Chief Minister Nicole Manison said her "heartfelt sympathy and thoughts" were with the family of the dead worker.
"Everybody deserves to be able to go to work and be safe. What has happened overnight is unacceptable," she said.
NT police detectives continue to investigate.
