Teenage girl dies after plunging 50ft from cliff in Scottish Highlands as man rushed to hospital

A teenage girl has died and a man rushed to hospital after plunging 50ft from cliffs in the Scottish Highlands.

Emergency services raced to the Victoria Walk area in Thurso, Highlands, after the alarm was raised at around 5.50pm on Monday, July 11. Ambulance and coastguard crews attended but an 18-year-old girl has tragically now died. Her next of kin have been aware.

A 26-year-old man was rushed to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness for treatment. The teenager's death is currently being treated as "unexplained". Officers say their enquiries into establishing the circumstances are ongoing.
