A heartwarming rescue took place during the aftermath of Hurricane Milton, as a 14-year-old boy was found floating on a piece of a fence in a flooded area in Tampa. Deputies from the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office, patrolling the area on a boat, spotted the teenager and swiftly came to his aid.

Footage released by the sheriff's office captured the moment when the deputies approached the boy, who was alone in the water. With reassuring words, a deputy can be heard telling the teen to be careful as they helped him onto the safety of their vessel.

Fortunately, the teenager did not sustain any injuries during his ordeal, as confirmed by the sheriff's office. However, details regarding the whereabouts of the boy's parents were not disclosed by the spokesperson.

Hurricane Milton's impact was felt across Florida, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. The storm caused power outages for 3 million people and tragically resulted in multiple fatalities. Additionally, Milton's journey extended to the Atlantic Ocean by Thursday, marking the end of its destructive path.

It is worth noting that Hurricane Milton arrived just two weeks after Hurricane Helene wreaked havoc in parts of the southeast United States. The combined impact of these storms led to significant damage, including the formation of tornadoes that further intensified the destruction caused by Milton.
