A teenage boy was rushed to hospital with severe injuries after a police car collided with his motorbike.
The 16-year-old is understood to have suffered injuries to his leg in the incident in Leeds, West Yorkshire. A police officer reported the incident on Wednesday, July 5, at around 10am.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance and his injuries are not expected to be life-threatening.
West Yorkshire Police said: "At 10.02am today (Weds), a neighbourhood policing team officer in a marked police vehicle reported being involved in a collision with a motorbike in Fairfield Hill, Bramley.
"The rider of the motorcycle, a 16-year-old male, received an injury to his leg.
"He was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life threatening. A scene and road closure were put in place for collision investigation work.
"West Yorkshire Police Professional Standards Directorate has been notified and is liaising with the Independent Office for Police Conduct, which is normal practice for such an incident."
