A teenage boy was assauted and had his shoes robbed by a gang of youths in a broad daylight Malahide attack.
Gardai are investigating the incident which happened in the Seabury Gardens area this evening.
A local woman told Dublin Live she saw two men attempt to chase the gang but they weren't able to catch them.
She said: "It's terrifying to think this would happen here in broad daylight.
"The estuary is hugely popular with locals, many of whom walk it daily.
"It would make you afraid to walk down there on your own."
Thankfully, gardai confirmed that the victim got away without any injuries.
A garda spokesman told Dublin Live: "A male teen was assaulted and a number of personal items were stolen from him during this incident.
"The injured party did not receive medical treatment at the scene."
