A teenage boy has been arrested after a man was found with 'stab' wounds to the head and leg in Kirkstall.
West Yorkshire Police were called to the Vesper Road area in Kirkstall yesterday (February 24) afternoon at around 4.50pm. The ambulance service had reported a man had been assaulted.
The man had suffered a head and a leg wound believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon.
A 16-year-old boy and a 22-year-old man are currently in police custody. The injured man has been taken to hospital with serious injuries not believed to be life-threatening.
The police said: "Two males have been arrested on suspicion of assaulting a man in the Kirkstall area of Leeds yesterday (Friday, 24 February).
"The males, aged 16 and 22, are currently in custody.
"Officers were called to Vesper Road, Kirkstall, at around 4:50pm yesterday by the ambulance service reporting a male had been assaulted. They located the male who had suffered a head and leg injury believed to have been caused by a bladed weapon.
"The male was taken to hospital to receive hospital treatment for serious injuries. His injuries are not being treated as life threatening.
